Do You Remember What You Look Like?

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

II Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

According to our theme scripture, when we look in the "mirror" we see the Glory of God. When we look in the mirror often, we are changed into the image we see in the mirror.

What mirror is being talked about in the scripture above?

“For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The mirror is “the perfect law of liberty”. That simply means the Word of God.

When you look in God’s Word, it tells you what you look like! You have to remember that! Don’t let the devil tell you otherwise!

When you look in God’s Word and He shows you that you’re more than a conqueror, don’t go away and forget that, just because the devil paints a picture of defeat.

It is those who remember what they look like that are doers of the Word! *“For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

When you look into the mirror of God (that is His Word), He shows you that the Greater one lives in you! “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” I John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

The devil wants you to believe that you’re a wimp. Don’t believe him. Go back into God’s mirror and reassure your heart on who you are and to whom you belong!

Spend time in the Word of God, that is His mirror. As you spend time looking at His mirror, you will be transformed from glory to glory.
